Did this one for a weekly sketch challenge and actually won. Cap's right foot isn't exactly working but that's what sketch challenges are for.

I knew you were going to take the contest when I saw the pic. The colors work so well together. I like the right foot. What I didn't like was the blast covering his face. A bit of poor planning. But obviously it didn't hurt the pic too much. Congratulations!

Glad somebody liked the right foot but yeah it was a bit exaggerated. Your work always inspires me to stretch for new and better poses, to work outside my comfort zone. The gun over the face I knew people would gripe about. I saw it, coulda moved it, but in the story in my minds eye that's where it belonged so I put it there. Like yourself I try to add a bit of story in these things rather than go for the classic pose. Sometimes it hits, sometimes it misses. See you in the trenches next week. Oh, and by the way your Hero by Night piece was KILLER! The details on your villains really completed the piece.

Yep, the new Cap (aka Bucky) is armed and dangerous. It's a good storyline if you haven't seen it. Glad you like the picture.

Glad I can push you in the right direction. You never get better playing to your strengths all the time. Ive had to rearrange some of my priorities over the weekend. I don't think that I'll be doing the next couple of sketch challenges. I've been putting off some things I want to get done before convention season hits. I'll be voting though so don't you start slackin'!
Glad you like the HBN pic. I was saving that piece just in case I ever won another sketch challenge and then I'd throw that up to see if I could make it two in a row. So much for that! :P

HA! I thought about that with a Boba Piece I'm doing for my nephew (late B-day present) but then I thought it is a sketch challenge and I shooouuld just use the time allowed and what if I lost it HA!
I know what you mean about getting stuff done. I had bigger plans for my winter months but got bit by this sketch bug. Though on the plus side, I'll turn some of these into prints, and the networking through Ten Ton and deviant is a good thing.

Absolutely. I hope to sell these sketches at the cons for a small price. Weird what people will buy if they know its an original. Most of these pics aren't really things I'd choose to draw so that makes it cool. Im sure I'll get requests for Kraven and Spaceboy sketches now once people see these pics. Something different never hurt.

The exposure on these boards are awesome. Its great feedback. Much better than just any old website all by yourself. You get to feed off other people's energy.
